In 2016 I attended a pre-nursing course in the hopes that I would find my passion, and that's where I came across dental nursing. I got curious so I looked into it and had the feeling that it would align with what I wanted from a career. In 2018 I applied and got accepted into trinity college where I studied for my dental nursing diploma. I knew right away that I made the right choice and soon fell in love with dentistry and all that it has to offer.
I love the variety that dentistry brings in your day to day, there is no one day that is the same. It's quite a rewarding role because you can see the positive impact that it can have on peoples oral health when you help them maintain healthy smiles. It really contributes to their overall wellbeing.I especially love Oral Surgery and Orthodontics as I find them to be the most exciting part of dentistry.
I bring a lot of experience to the role which means I have a strong understanding of dental procedures, equipment and materials. I have worked on developing my communication skills over the years which improves my ability to work as part of a team and my attention to detail also helps a lot in this role.
When I am not in work I love spending time with my dog Penny, I like to bring her on nature walks as much as I can. I also enjoy taking on new DIY projects at home that sometimes work out well and other times, not so much.
