Emily Rades

Emily graduated from the University of Otago with a Bachelor of Oral Health in 2019. Post-graduation Emily has worked in the public, private and hospital sector. After practicing for four years, Emily left New Zealand in 2023 to travel Europe. After two years Emily transitioned back into Dentistry, choosing Dublin to be her new home.

Emily is passionate about Oral Health education and empowering patients to feel confident with their smile and it is very important to Emily to build a positive rapport with her patients. Being able to show patients that the status of their oral health is improving from their diligent home care routine and dedication is Emily’s favourite part of the job! She understands that visiting the Hygienist is not everyone's favourite thing to do and for some it can be stressful or anxiety inducing. Emliy takes a relaxed, gentle approach to her patients and her practice. Emily works closely with the Dentists at Truly Donnybook, ensuring all her patients are getting the very best,thorough treatment and education.

Outside of work Emily is always found outdoors, trail running, hiking, and skiing as well as leaning into the amazing pub culture Dublin has to offer. Travelling to different countries, experiencing new cultures and cuisines is one of the reasons why Emily moved from New Zealand to Europe, so recommendations are always welcome!
