Dr. Mary Finnegan

Dr. Mary Finnegan is committed to Truly Dental’s patient-centred approach to dentistry, believing that high-quality, compassionate care has the power to transform not only smiles but also patients’ overall wellbeing.

She graduated with honours in Dental Science from Trinity College Dublin, having excelled in an environment committed to innovation, research, and excellence in patient care. Driven by a commitment to lifelong learning and clinical excellence, she went on to complete the postgraduate examinations of the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland, earning both the Membership of the Faculty of Dentistry (MFD RCSI) and the Diploma in Primary Care Dentistry (Dip PCD RCSI) — achievements that strengthened her foundation in comprehensive, evidence-based care.

With a strong interest in orthodontics and smile design, Dr. Finnegan has dedicated her career to helping patients achieve confident, natural smiles through Invisalign and clear aligner therapy, as well as fixed braces. Her passion for excellence and desire to continually refine her skills have led her to pursue a Master’s in Orthodontics at Danube Private University (DPU) and a Postgraduate Diploma in Orthodontics & Dentofacial Orthopaedics with the London Dental Institute — advanced programmes that enhance her expertise in digital orthodontics and modern treatment planning.

Her skills and clinical experience are enhanced by her genuine interest in her patients and her drive to help them achieve their smile goals – allowing her to put even particularly nervous patients at ease and build trusting, long-term relationships of care.

Outside of dentistry, Mary enjoys spending time with her family, going to the gym, open-water swimming, playing tennis, and exploring good food — believing that balance and curiosity make for a better clinician.
